This course is delivered entirely through computer-based simulation, giving you the opportunity to train on industry-standard software that mirrors real-world control room environments. You will develop practical experience by running scenarios that replicate the safe operation of industrial plants and processes.

Your learning and assessment will include:
• Virtual start-ups and shutdowns – practising the safe sequencing of plant operations.
• Component recognition – identifying pumps, valves, heat exchangers and other key elements within a simulated
process system.
• “What-If” exercises – responding to simulated system changes, process upsets or failures to develop confidence in problem-solving.

By working entirely through realistic process control simulations, you will build the knowledge and confidence to take your next step towards an apprenticeship, further training or a career in energy, process and manufacturing industries
