Gosport Rotary Club is organising a unique fun run at Stokes Bay in Gosport on Whitsun Bank Holiday Monday, May 25.

The Doughnut Dash is a two-mile run, jog or walk along Stokes Bay promenade to Fort Gilkicker and back. The sugary twist is that on the way to the finish, participants will eat two Krispy Kreme doughnuts before working their way to the end of the course.

The Doughnut Dash is being hosted at the Diving Museum, which is re-opening in early May after a two-year refurbishment. The museum will be offering ticket incentives on the day to the Victorian coastal defence fort which is steeped in history.

The Diving Museum, along with Naomi & Jack’s – the children’s and young adult hospice based in Winchester – will be the chief beneficiaries of funds raised by Gosport Rotary Club from the event.

Participants are advised that Krispy Kreme doughnuts may contain allergens, including gluten, nuts and other ingredients that could cause allergic reactions.
Anyone with food allergies or intolerances is urged not to consume the doughnuts.

You can take part in the event without eating the doughnuts. Clear signage will be displayed on the day, and a first aider will be present at the doughnut station.
